"Frustrating damage claim experience"
I rented out my car and ended up getting a damage claim afterward. Dealing with Getaround was frustrating because they took forever to respond, kept asking me for the same information, and then there was basically no follow-up unless I chased them. It felt like nobody was really looking into the case properly. It wasn’t the absolute worst experience, but it definitely left me annoyed

It just wasn’t well covered. I kept getting the feeling they were trying to make it look complete without actually putting in the effort where it mattered. Maybe I’m reading into it, but it felt a little intentional, like they hoped people wouldn’t notice the gaps.

"Pretty easy cancellation overall"
I had to cancel a car at the last minute and was just a little worried it was going to be a hassle. The process on Getaround was clear enough, and I got the refund info quickly. It did take just a bit longer than I expected for the update to show, but support replied and got it sorted. Not perfect, but overall it was a good experience.

"Convenient, but the app made me sweat a little"
I used getaround for a quick weekend errand, having the pickup spot so close to me felt like a small miracle. It saved me a bunch of time, which I definitely appreciated. Unlocking the car through the app did work eventually, but wow, it took a few tries and I was just standing there on the sidewalk feeling like I was in some mildly embarrassing tech drama. Overall, the pickup was convenient, just not exactly seamless. I’d use it again if the car was nearby, but next time I’m absolutely building in extra time for the unlocking saga.

"Weekend rental didn’t really work out"
I tried using Getaround for a quick weekend rental, but the verification process ended up being frustrating. I uploaded my license and all the info they asked for, but my account just sat there pending with no clear updates. Support did respond, but it felt slow and didn’t really help much in the moment. By the time everything finally got sorted out, I’d already had to make other plans. The app itself looks decent, but the verification part definitely needs to be quicker.

"Pretty straightforward overall"
I've used Getaround twice now, and both times the price was pretty much what I expected. The fees were shown before I booked, so there wasn’t any surprise total at checkout or anything like that. I do think the insurance details could be explained a little more clearly, but overall it felt fair and easy enough to figure out... definitely convenient when you need a car for a bit.

I had an issue with my booking and was getting stressed about it. At first I thought it was going to be a whole hassle, actually no, it turned out way easier than I expected. Customer support got back to me quickly, explained what was happening, and fixed it without sending me in circles. I really appreciated how straightforward they made everything. Used Getaround once and the app had the car showing about 3 blocks away from where it actually was. I spent like 20 minutes walking around and messaging support. Once I found it, the car was fine, but the location accuracy definitely needs work. Super annoying when you’re already rushing...

Got a flat tire while I was on my trip, which was definitely Not ideal. Getaround roadside took a little while to answer, but once they did, they helped get everything figured out. Wasn’t perfect, but it turned out okay and the support was decent

I've used getaround a few times now, maybe since last summer or early fall, I can't remember exactly, and the keyless unlock has worked every time. I never had to wait around or deal with weird app glitches. It was straightforward: show up, unlock the car, get in, and drive

I used Getaround last weekend the car was in good shape when I picked it up. It was—well, the seats were clean, there wasn’t any weird smell, and the outside looked like it had been washed recently. I did notice a little dust around the cup holders and some crumbs under one of the mats, but it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, it was a good experience and I’d use it again.

"Too Many Mileage Limits"
For some reason, there were way more mileage limits than I expected. It made the whole experience feel a bit restrictive, especially when I just wanted to use the service without constantly worrying about going over. Not a huge deal, but definitely something I wish had been clearer upfront.

I actually liked that Getaround laid everything out clearly before I booked. Insurance, mileage, fuel, late return stuff... it was all easy to find and not buried in tiny wording. I had a couple questions at first, but the policy pages answered them quickly. Made me feel a lot more comfortable using the car!
